These sketches are part of a twenty-page album of bridal and trousseau designs made for Lucia Pickering Wheatland Fulton (1899-1989) for her marriage to John F. Fulton in Fall 1923. Created by French fashion house, Maison Ruffié, Paris, the book represents Mrs. Fulton's wedding ensemble, her trousseau or honeymoon wardrobe, and looks for her bridesmaids. The illustration epitomizes stylish, forward-looking French fashion of the early 1920s.
