Mark Bradford’s exhibition for the US Pavilion at the 2017 Venice Biennale, titled Tomorrow Is Another Day, explored the notion of what it means to navigate the world as an outsider. Gathering carefully chosen found and salvaged materials, Bradford engages in a complex process of both creation and destruction. His beautifully fractured works address his personal ideas of vulnerability and resilience. Mark Bradford: Tomorrow Is Another Day includes an essay by the co-curators of the U.S. Pavilion exhibition, Christopher Bedford and Katy Siegel; excerpts from W.E.B. Du Bois’ Black Reconstruction in America as well as James Baldwin’s Go
Tell It On the Mountain; and an extended interview with Mark Bradford by Christopher Bedford.
Playtime, an exhibition featuring this artist, is on view February 10 to May 6, 2018.
